Downtown Cumberland Security Project

The Cumberland Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with the Downtown Development Commission and the Cumberland City Police Department, is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) to bid on the necessary equipment, installation, and maintenance of a security camera system in downtown Cumberland to improve public safety.
Beginning September 16th, 2022, qualified contractors are invited to submit a proposal with the end goal of enhancing, expanding and modernizing security in Downtown Cumberland. Sealed proposals are due Friday, October 14th at the CEDC’s office located at 3 Pershing Street, Suite 105, Cumberland MD 21502.
“This project reflects the strong partnership of the CEDC, DDC, and Cumberland’s Police Department,” said Matt Miller, Cumberland Economic Development Executive Director. “As we evolve our city scape, it’s important to keep in mind the tangible public safety needs of our community. We are thankful for the collective efforts of all local leaders coming together to make this grant application a possibility.”
